About

The Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) © Andy Keen – All Rights Reserved.
Our Goal
Aurorahunters was established by the British natural light photographer and Aurorahunter, Andy Keen. Our reason for being is to help to fulfill people’s dreams, often lifelong dreams, of witnessing the awe-inspiring Aurora Borealis or – as they are more commonly called – The Northern Lights. We also place a strong emphasis on education, and actively encourage students of all nationalities to take an interest in photography, as well as our natural world.
Why Choose Aurorahunters
We provide a unique, an exciting and a personal service to each of our clients:
- You will be accompanied by a professional photographer and Aurora hunter who will share their in-depth knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for this natural phenomenon to help you make the most of your time spent in this beautiful part of the world
- You will have a genuine wilderness experience; the regions we operate in have been specifically selected for their remoteness with little chance of light pollution, ensuring ideal conditions for Aurora hunting and photography
- We are extremely passionate about what we do and we are ALWAYS tenacious in our search for the Aurora. We don’t just sit in one place waiting for the lights to come to us; we use a combination of knowledge, experience, modern technology and a network of local contacts to literally hunt for clear skies and, of course, Aurora!
- Our group sizes are small (7 guests at the most), thus maximising your comfort and safety, as well as guaranteeing you a personal service
- Our proven track record of Aurora hunting, in-depth knowledge of the area and our combined years of photographic experience provide the essential ingredients for a unique and memorable adventure
- We do all we can to ensure you experience the ‘thrill of the chase’
Who do we cater for?
We cater for students, independent travellers, photographic tour companies, clubs & societies, travel companies and film crews – basically anyone who wishes to go in search of the Northern Lights, to explore the Arctic wilderness and to experience the Sami culture.
Making the Most Of Your Time Here In Northern Lapland
As well as taking people out on Aurora hunting tours and Husky safaris, we are also able to arrange a host of other activities to help you make the most out of your visit including, for example; cross-country skiing, ice-hole fishing, a Sami culture and reindeer experience or, indeed, a trip to Norway and the Arctic Ocean (Barents Sea). For the more adventurous amongst you, we can even arrange a night in a heated tent – hopefully, conditions permitting, under the Milky Way and the Aurora Borealis.
We very much look forward to welcoming you to the adventure of a lifetime. In the meantime, please feel free to follow our activities on Facebook by following the link below and then clicking ‘like’.
